Executive Master in Development Policies and Practices (DPP) is the program designed for working professionals.Full and partial scholarships are available for candidates coming from the Mekong Region (Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar) and Switzerland (citizens or residents). Candidates should be working in governmental agencies, international and local NGOs, international organizations, bilateral cooperation agencies, or private organizations in positions related to development aspects.The program will take place in 3 phases and 3 places. The first phase will take place in Hanoi (Vietnam), the second will be in student’s country and the last phase will take place in Geneva (Switzerland).

Scholarship Description: Asian Institute of Technology and Geneva Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies offer a scholarship program of Executive Master in Development Policies and Practices (DPP) which is an international program in 3 phases and 3 places. The DPP lasts for 2 full-time months and 4 part-time months at place of work and is offered to development practitioners in South East Asia, West and East Africa, Latin America, and Europe.
-Module 1: July 2013 â€" September 2013 in Hanoi. Study of public policies and development actors; Investigation methods and tools; Strategic management of development actions
-Module 2: September 2013 â€" January 2014 in student’s country. Research/field study with topic linked to professional practice.
-Module 3: January 2014 â€" 01 February 2014 in Geneva. Development of leadership skills including mediation and decision-making; Intercultural communication; Interaction with representatives of Geneva-based organizations.

Duration of award(s): The DPP lasts for 2 full-time months and 4 part-time months at place of work.

What does it cover?  Full or partial financial support is available to cover the tuition fee, transportation, cost of living in Hanoi and Geneva, depending on qualification of students.

Selection Criteria: The criteria for selection are: Professionals with key positions in public, private and NGO sectors; University degree (minimum 3 years) and several years of professional experience (or an equivalent combination of training and experience); Employer’s letter of commitment; Proficiency either in English, French or Spanish.
