It is obligatory to submit an application for the selected Master’s programme/s on University Admissions prior to making a scholarship application. Only then will you be able to obtain your individual application number and the  priority order (your choice of Master’s programme/s) which must be at hand when starting the online Scholarship application. A personal link to the scholarship application portal will be sent to you via email once you have submitted some key information via the link in section 8.

The application period for scholarships administered by Chalmers opens 15 November and closes 15 January.

Grants normally range in value from $400 â€" $1,000.

For graduate programs, financial support is available to highly qualified graduate students from a variety of sources at the University of Toronto. Full-time graduate students are assisted each year through the University of Toronto Fellowship program and numerous other departmental award programs.  In addition to fellowship support, departmental research funding may be available, especially to excellent students in the physical and life sciences. The main scholarship program offered by Lund University for foreign students is the Lund University Global Scholarship Program which is a merit-based scholarship targeted at top academic students from countries outside the EU/EEA (and Switzerland). Scholarships may cover 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of the tuition fee. The scholarship value is deducted from the tuition fee of the programme or free-standing course for which you are awarded a scholarship. It does not cover living costs.

Eligibility:

The VU Fellowship Programme (VUFP) is a scholarship for strongly motivated students with excellent study results.

Eligible candidates must be able to prove their academic excellence, must be admitted to a pre-selected Master’s degree at VU University, do not have the Dutch nationality and have not graduated from a Dutch higher education programme.

Only students following a 2-year Master’s programme may apply for a second year and the prerequisite for a second application is the achievement of  at least 80% of the 60 possible credits.  Students following a one-year Master’s programme may not apply for the VUFP scholarship for a second year.  Students already enrolled in a two-year Master’s programme who have not been awarded  a VUFP scholarship in 2013/2014 are not eligible to apply for the VUFP scholarship 2014/2015.

Under the Excellence Scholarship & Opportunity Programme (ESOP) students receive a special scholarship for the duration of their programme as well as specific supervision. The scholarship covers the full study and living costs during their Master’s degree course.

The Excellence Scholarship consists of a grant covering living and study expenses (CHF 1,750 per month) as well as a tuition fee waiver. The scholarship begins when the student commences his or her Master’s degree and is awarded for the regular duration of the Master’s programme (three or four semesters). It is awarded independently of the scholarship holder’s financial situation.

The Master Scholarship Programme consists of a partial stipend for living and study expenses (CHF 850 per month during the first semester and CHF 600 per month from the second semester onwards) as well as a tuition fee waiver. After the first semester there is the possibility of taking on an assistantship (with a payment of CHF 600 per month).

Eligibility:

The scholarship programmes are open to excellent students both from the ETH and from other universities (national and international) wishing to pursue their Master’s degree at ETH Zurich. The prerequisite is a very good result in their Bachelor’s. Students must belong to the best 10 percent of their Bachelor’s programme.

Applicants must submit an application form (the same for both programmes), a letter of motivation, a pre-proposal for your Master’s thesis, and letters of recommendation from two professors.  Application deadline for the Excellence Scholarship for Master programmes starting in 2014 is 15 December 2013(date of postmark).
