Yet, as indispensable infrastructures, the ports dictated the pace of the development of these regions by promoting navigation and interaction and through their emergence as strategic points. The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to the research blog on hypotheses which has already been set up (fleuves.hypotheses.org). On completion of the contract, the research results will form the basis of a synthesis text to be published in a leading international journal (A ranking). Depending on the post-doc’s specialism, the article will be submitted to the Journal of Egyptian history or Akkadica.

Scholarship Description: NURSE Corps Scholarship Program enables students accepted or enrolled in a diploma, associate, baccalaureate or graduate nursing programs, including RN to BSN, RN to MSN-NP, Direct Entry MSN-NP program to receive funding for tuition, fees and other educational costs in exchange for working at an eligible NURSE Corps site upon graduation. The NURSE Corps Scholarship Program is a selective program of the U.S. Government that helps alleviate the critical shortage of nurses currently experienced by certain types of health care facilities located in Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs). Upon graduation, NURSE Corps Scholarship recipients work at these facilities for at least 2 years, earning the same competitive salary and benefits as any new hire. As much as half of the award funds are reserved for students pursuing a master’s level nurse practitioner degree.

Number of award(s):  For the 2015-2016 academic year, the NURSE Corps Scholarship Program is expected to be highly competitive. The program anticipates more applicants for scholarship awards than there are funds available. It is expected that approximately 225 awards will be made for the 2015- 2016 academic year. In the past, NURSE Corps Scholarship Program funds have been sufficient to reach applicants in the first funding preference. Below is a table of the award history for previous years.

Duration of award(s): The NURSE Corps Scholarship Program award and contract is for the 2015-2016 academic year (July 1, 2015 â€" June 30, 2016). Any funding provided after June 30, 2016, is considered another contract year. Any additional school years (Optional Contracts) requested by the applicant and agreed to by the Secretary or his/her designee is indicated in the executed contracts. What does it cover? (3) Response to essay questions. Demonstrates a thorough commitment to a career in nursing; interest/motivation in providing care to underserved communities; and relevant work experience and/or activities (i.e., community service, research, and internships) that have prepared the applicant to work with underserved populations. (4) Resume/Curriculum Vitae. Summarizes educational qualifications, work experience, and volunteer/community service in chronological order. (5) Recommendation letters. Provides a detailed description of the applicant’s performance in school; education/work achievements; community/civic or other nonacademic achievements; demonstration of cultural awareness and ability to work and communicate constructively with others from diverse backgrounds; and interest and motivation to serve underserved populations through work experience, course work, special projects and research.

Eligibility: The following general criteria apply to all applicants:

2015 Junior Clinical Training Scholarships in Farm Animal Health and Production, UK

Department of Veterinary Medicine at University of Cambridge is offering two training scholarships for new or recently qualified veterinary graduates in the area of farm animal medicine and surgery. The emphasis of this programme will be on gaining practical clinical experience all aspects of farm animal health and production, with particular emphasis on ruminant species. -Case management of individual production animals, including emergency and critical care, surgery, anaesthesia, diagnostics, internal medicine and obstetrics.
-Involvement in a busy and expanding first opinion farm animal practice
-Training and practice in population medicine and herd health management, with an emphasis on evidence base medicine
-Experience in teaching and communication
-Basic tuition in research methods and scientific writing.

Selection Criteria: Selection of successful applicants on the basis of the materials supplied will be by the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences Graduate Studies Committee.
