The Australian Council of Agricultural Societies (ACAS) and Coca-Cola are offering Agriculture Scholarships to pursue further education at University or Tafe. Each year 35 scholarships of $2000 each will be awarded. These scholarships are open for any Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident is a current member of an Australian Agricultural or Show Society. Previous applicants are welcomed to reapply. The applications deadlines are 28th February 2015 for NSW applicants and 30th June 2015 for all other states.

Scholarship Description: The Australian Council of Agricultural Societies Membership comprises the Royal Agricultural Societies of all States and Territories of Australia. The Australian Council of Agricultural Societies (ACAS) works to assist agricultural societies to achieve more successful operation by increasing entries and attendance at their annual show. ACAS is the peak body of the agricultural show movement and represents the agriculture industry sector to the Australian government.

What does it cover? Scholarship of $2000 each will be awarded.
Selection Criteria: Scholarships are awarded on a state basis. Preference in awarding scholarships will be based on the commitment to regional Australia and involvement in your local agricultural society. The selection process takes into account the whole student including their- involvement in local rural shows, work experience, agricultural experience, community service, leadership skills and academic achievements. Successful applicants must be prepared to travel to the Capital City of their home state during the Annual Royal Show to formally be presented with the scholarship.
Notification: Applications may be made on line or by mail and winners are notified by mail a few weeks prior to the date of the Royal Show in their Capital City. If your application is successful you will be notified in writing about how to claim your scholarship.
