Macquarie University is awarding South Asia Scholarship for Indian or Sri Lankan students. Scholarship will provide AU$6000 to each successful student, which will be applied equally towards their tuition fee over first three sessions of studies. The South Asia Scholarship is a single scholarship and not available to be renewed. These scholarships are available to all coursework applicants who meet all the conditions of the scholarship and accept their offer and pay fees by the nominated deadline.

Eligibility:
-Have citizenship from either India or Sri Lanka.
-Have met the Macquarie Universityâs academic and English requirements for the course and hold a full offer of admission by the application deadline for studies at our North Ryde campus.
-Have applied for a program that is longer than two sessions in duration.
-Have applied for a coursework degree which has a full-time study load.
-Commence study in the semester and year indicated in their offer of scholarship. Commencement may not be deferred.

Scholarship Description:Â This scholarship scheme awards up to AU$6000 towards the total tuition fee of your degree in Australia upon the early acceptance of your offer to study. As an Indian or Sri Lankan student, you could be eligible for one of the South Asia Scholarships which will be offered from June 2015. These scholarships are available to all coursework applicants who meet all the conditions of the scholarship and accept their offer and pay fees by the nominated deadline. You donât need to apply directly for the South Asia Scholarship. If your application has been successful, details of the scholarship will come with your letter of offer. Payment of the scholarship will be spread over the first three sessions of your degree.

What does it cover? Under this scholarship, Macquarie University will provide AU$6000 to each successful student, which will be applied equally towards your tuition fee over your first three sessions of studies. The South Asia Scholarship doesnât provide financial support in the form of a living allowance, cost of visa application, Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), airfares, accommodation, conferences or other costs associated with study. This scholarship is not available to students studying at Macquarie City Campus or the Sydney Institute of Business and Technology (SIBT).

How to Apply: You donât need to apply directly for the South Asia Scholarship. If your application has been successful, details of the scholarship will come with your letter of offer. Payment of the scholarship will be spread over the first three sessions of your degree. Applicants who meet the above criteria will be automatically advised for their eligibility in their Macquarie University course offer letter.
Scholarship Application Deadline:Â The application deadline for all degrees commencing 27 July 2015 is 4 June 2015 and for MBA or Master of Management at MGSM with a commencement date of 21 September 2015is 9 August 2015.
