The Committee on General Scholarships administers several programs for international students who wish to study at Harvard University’s graduate and professional schools.   The Committee administers scholarships and fellowships for students from the following countries:  Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Columbia, Croatia, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, and United Kingdom. There are a limited number of undergraduate scholarships available for international students at Oxford. Currently, there are 7 scholarship programs for students from Turkey, Brazil, Russia, Pakistan, Australia. Their main undergraduate scholarship program for developing country students is the Reach Oxford Scholarships for Developing Countries.

On the other hand, there are hundreds of scholarships available to applicants for graduate study. For undergraduate programs, the University of Toronto selects the most outstanding undergraduate admission applicants as University of Toronto Scholars. These scholarships valued at $5,000, may be held in any program of study at the University, and in conjunction with any other award that student may be offered.  International Students with financial need may apply for grant assistance, (also called bursaries) provided acceptable academic standing has been maintained. Grants normally range in value from $400 â€" $1,000.

For graduate programs, financial support is available to highly qualified graduate students from a variety of sources at the University of Toronto. Full-time graduate students are assisted each year through the University of Toronto Fellowship program and numerous other departmental award programs.  In addition to fellowship support, departmental research funding may be available, especially to excellent students in the physical and life sciences. Teaching assistantships are also offered by a large number of departments.

The main scholarship program of ETH for international students is the ETH Excellence Scholarship.  International Bachelor’s students who have passed their first-year exams  and  international Master students, who acquired their Bachelor’s degree at another university, can apply for these scholarships when they have successfully completed the second semester of the Master programme. The scholarships can be awarded to students who belong to the best 10 percent of their Bachelor programme.  The scholarships covers the full study and living costs during the Master degree course.

The Melbourne Scholarships Program is one of the most generous and comprehensive in Australia. It recognises outstanding academic achievement of students from Australia and around the world.  The University is also committed to providing access to students who might otherwise be excluded by socio-economic, cultural, geographic and other disadvantages, and they offer a range of opportunities for those applicants

For undergraduate studies, the main scholarship program is the International Undergraduate Scholarships which provides 100%-fee remission scholarships valued from $10,000 up to approximately $126,000. For graduate studies, the two major international scholarships offered annually:  Melbourne International Fee Remission Scholarships (MIFRS) and Melbourne International Research Scholarships (MIRS) which covers tuition fee and living expenses.

Each year the ENS organizes an international selection allowing about thirty of the most promising international students, either in Science or in Humanities, to follow a two or three-year course at the ENS. They receive a monthly stipend of approximately 1,000 Euros and benefit from an accommodation on the ENS campus.  About 30 foreign students are awarded each year.

Through the Japanese Government (“Monbukagakusho”) Scholarship Program, the University of Tokyo awards oustanding international students monthly scholarships worth 125,000 up to 160,000 yen depending on the level of study undertaken.

The University of Tokyo offers a program to provide a research grant to privately financed international students with an excellent academic record through the University of Tokyo Fellowships.  Recipients will receive a monthly research grant of  200,000/150,000 during the standard period of their program (up to one year for research students). About 100-150 fellowships are awarded each year.

The University also offers externally funded scholarships (e.g. public corporations, foundations) that are available to international students.

Eligible students will be considered for the NUS administered scholarships through their application for admission to NUS. NO separate scholarship application is required.  These scholarships include: ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship (AUS) (for ASEAN nationals, except Singaporeans) and Science & Technology Undergraduate Scholarship.   There are also scholarships offered by external organizations and interested students should submit their applications directly to the organization.

The main scholarship program of the University of Hong Kong for international students is the HKU Entrance Scholarships which are awarded on the basis of academic merits with consideration of non-academic achievement.  The entrance scholarships are open to local and non-local students applying for undergraduate studies on the strength of international qualification.   The scholarship awards can be used towards tuition fee, accommodation, and personal expenses. To supplement their funds,  non-local students can undertake part-time work on campus during the semester, and can work during their summer vacation in the city.

The main scholarship program of Peking University for international students is the Peking University Academic Excellence Scholarships which are open to international third year undergraduates, masters, and doctor exchange students.  The award ranges from 3,000 RMB to 10,000 RMB depending on the level of studies undertaken.   International students who receive scholarships from the Chinese government do not directly receive the scholarship. They will only physically receive a certificate of honor and a souvenir.

The Seoul National University offers generous scholarship programs for international students both for undergraduate and postgraduate studies. For undergraduate studies, the University offers scholarships through the Korean Government Scholarship Program which is a fully funded scholarship that covers tuition fees, stipends, airfaire, medical insurance and other expenses.  Applicants submit applications for this program to Korean embassies in their countries.

For graduate studies, there are 5 major scholarship programs including the SNU Global Scholarships which covers  tuition fee, living expenses, airfare, and housing cost. Approximately 60 scholarships are awarded each year.  You can apply for the scholarship upon receiving admissions from SNU.

There are several scholarship programmes for MSc students.  Several faculties offer individual partial scholarships/stipends for specific MSc programmes.  Such scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit and at the discretion of the faculty representative. The university’s main international scholarship program for Master’s studies is the TU Delft Excellence Scholarships which are fully funded scholarships that covers tuition fees and monthly allowance for living expenses.

Selected master programmes of Lund University eligible for scholarships under the  Swedish Institute Study Scholarships by the Swedish Institute.  Moreover,Lund University has six Master’s programmes that have been approved for Erasmus Mundus scholarships. As a student on these Master’s programmes you can get a scholarship to cover both tuition fees and living expenses.

The main scholarship program offered by Lund University for foreign students is the Lund University Global Scholarship Program which is a merit-based scholarship targeted at top academic students from countries outside the EU/EEA (and Switzerland). Scholarships may cover 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of the tuition fee. The scholarship value is deducted from the tuition fee of the programme or free-standing course for which you are awarded a scholarship. It does not cover living costs.
