PhD Studentship in Health Science/Computer Science at Swansea University in UK

Eligibility: Academic requirements:
-A good degree in public health / computer science / psychology / health science.
-Web based programming skills, including experience of HTML5 and preferably Java script.
-Good experience in user-centred design and/or participatory design.
Residency criteria: This studentship is open to UK/EU and international students, however only UK/EU tuition fees will be paid. International students will be required to pay the difference between UK/EU tuition fees and overseas tuition fees.

Scholarship Description: Swansea University, in association with the National Institute for Social Care and Health Research (NISCHR), invites applications for a fully-funded PhD studentship. The PhD project is to develop and evaluate a new wellbeing module within an existing online health improvement programme, ‘Champions for Health’. The study will assess, in a randomised controlled trial, whether the inclusion of an emotional health module improves emotional wellbeing. It will investigate the interaction between the emotional wellbeing module and other modules in the programme. The student will be based in the College of Medicine, as part of the Mental Health Research Team, working closely with Computer Science and Public Health Wales NHS Trust.
