Alabama Scholarships

At this page of scholarship-positions.com, we have listed some Alabama scholarships to pursue higher education without any financial hindrances. Alabama provides a wide range of scholarships and grants for its resident college-bound students. These awards may be based on merit or need or a combination of the two.

AWS Airgas Terry Jarvis Memorial Scholarship
AWS Airgas Terry Jarvis Memorial Scholarship offers a financial fund of $2,500 every year for the undergraduate U.S. students. Priority will be given to those individuals residing or attending school in the states of Alabama, Georgia or Florida. Candidate should be pursuing a four year bachelor degree program in welding engineering. The minimum age for achieving this scholarship is 18 years. This academic scholarship includes tuition fee and also provides a stipend for book. All award will paid directly to academic institution by AWS Foundation. Application deadline is 15 February, annually.

Baptist Foundation Scholarships: The Foundation awards various scholarships to the residents of the State of Alabama for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis. Scholarships are not renewable. Students must reapply each year to be eligible. The application deadline is March 31, 2015.

Community Foundation of Northeast Alabama Scholarship Program: These scholarships are available for students throughout northeast Alabama, specifically the counties served by the Community Foundation of Northeast Alabama (Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, DeKalb, Etowah, Randolph, St. Clair and Talladega). All students who received a renewable scholarship must reapply to be eligible for renewal consideration. The application deadline is March 1, 2015.

P&CMA Educational Foundation Scholarship Program: The P&CMA Educational Foundation awards at least ten one-year scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each. Scholarships are available to high school seniors, and college freshmen, sophomores, and juniors, who are either full-time employees or are the sons and daughters (including adopted and stepchildren) of full-time employees, who are employed by P&CMA member companies. The application deadline is April 1, 2015.

Shelton State Community College Scholarships for Alabama: Shelton State Community College (SSCC) awards scholarships for qualified students who are residents of the state of Alabama. Scholarships are awarded based on availability of funds. Every applicant is required to submit an application for admission to the college and is encouraged to apply for federal financial aid. Selections for new or current student academic scholarships are based on the cumulative college grade point average (minimum 3.0). The application deadline is March 2, 2015.
