University of Western Sydney offer Penrith City Council Engineering and Technology Scholarships for Undergraduate Students in the field of Engineering, Australia 2013

Eligibility:
- Continuing UWS students.
- Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia.
- Be enrolled full-time in the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering Key Program), and must have completed at least 80 credit points towards their degree (completed 1 year full time study).
- Demonstrate academic potential through a GPA of 5.0 or above. â€" Be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to community service.
- Have resided in the Penrith Local Government Area for at least one year prior to applying for this scholarship.
- Be willing to complete a negotiated period of work experience with Penrith City Council.

Scholarship Description: Penrith City Council is a major Western Sydney Council comprising an area of 407 square kilometres. Penrith City Council services over 175,000 residents with this number growing at a rate of over 1% per annum.The City of Penrith has been recognised recently as a Regional City under the NSW State Government’s Metropolitan Strategy helping to ensure Penrith will enjoy the benefits of Sydney’s growth during the next 25 years.
