Eligibility:
You must: be graduating Year 12, or have had no more than 2 gap years since graduating high school have an OP 1 to 5 (or equivalent) be starting university for the first time be able to demonstrate leadership qualities, community service, and extracurricular activities. You must be an athlete who is: recognised by the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) or a professional player association a member of a national senior squad from an Athlete career and education (ACE) supported sport in a state or national level squad in open or age level competition in a state or national level development squad. You won’t qualify as an elite athlete student if you compete in a competition that requires you to train a couple of sessions per week and give up part of your weekend to compete. You must also be one of: an Australian or New Zealand citizen a permanent resident the holder of a permanent humanitarian visa an international student who has completed high school in Australia.

Future domestic undergraduate school leaver students.The Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship is our premier offering for high achievers. We award over 100 scholarships annually, worth $2.3 million. In addition to the financial support, the program helps you to make the most of your QUT experience through extra development opportunities, which build your leadership skills and professional networks. What we cover:You’ll receive one of: 10 elite athlete scholarships worth $25,000 each. The scholarship will be paid as a stipend of $3,125 after the HECS-HELP census date of each semester for the standard duration of your course, for up to four years ($6,250 per year). Other benefits may include: an accelerated program of study early access to research opportunities membership of the QUT College of Excellence the opportunity to represent QUT through the Student Ambassador Program.
