Eligibility:
Potential candidates must demonstrate or possess the following qualifications to be eligible for the Program:
•be a public servant (EX-01 and above or similar responsibility) of the Federal Public Service;
•be a Canadian citizen at the time of application (permanent resident status or landed immigrant status are not sufficient);
•possess English language proficiency;
•received a bachelor’s degree prior to September 2013 start date;
•be a mid-career professional who will be able to apply the knowledge that is acquired;
•have an exemplary track record of performance;
•meet current United States J-1 visa requirements; and
•be employed in an area of the federal government where knowledge of Canada-U.S. relations would be extremely beneficial.
