Eligibility:-Nationality: you must be a national and normally resident in one of the following CAF shareholder countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay and Venezuela.

Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries:
-Nationality: you must be a national and normally resident in one of the following CAF shareholder countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay and Venezuela.
-A strong research proposal relating to welfare, inequality and development issues in Latin America
-A good working knowledge of English; previous publications in English/experience of working in English-language institution are an advantage
-A completed doctorate or substantial professional experience relevant to the subject of the fellowship
-Evidence of outstanding prior academic or professional accomplishment and of the benefit that the fellowship would bring to the applicant’s future work

Scholarship Description: Applications are invited for the CAF-Oxford Visiting Fellowship in Latin American Economics for the Michaelmas Academic Term (October-December 2013). This is an exciting opportunity for a senior or mid-career researcher to pursue and present his or her own research in the context of the academic life of St Antony’s College and the Latin American Centre. The fellowship is intended to support scholarship related to the Economies of Latin America, and in particular research related to welfare, inequality and development issues.

What does it cover?  Travel expenses to cover return flight to the UK of up to £1,000 GBP Living allowances of c£3,000 GBP for three months (total £9,000.

Selection Criteria: A strong research proposal relating to welfare, inequality and development issues in Latin America.
-A good working knowledge of English; previous publications in English/experience of working in English-language institution are an advantage
-A completed doctorate or substantial professional experience relevant to the subject of the fellowship Evidence of outstanding prior academic or professional accomplishment and of the benefit that the fellowship would bring to the applicant’s future work.

Notification:The recruitment process will be completed by April 2013.
