Eligibility:
-Candidates must be nominated by a Canadian university or other entity whom the Foundation has invited to submit a nomination.
-Candidates must be active in the social sciences and humanities and must work in an area related to one or more of the Foundation’s four themes.
-Candidates must be recognized for achievements, creativity and engagement in the field of research and creation

Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: The students of for International and Canadian Students can apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship Description: Trudeau fellows join a growing community of researchers and creators involved in an impressive array of fields. They have access to a variety of events organized by the Foundation to disseminate the results of their work and share ideas with top experts in the country and around the world. The visiting Trudeau fellowship allows Canadian universities and research institutions to invite an outstanding international or national scholar of their choice to participate in campus activities for one year or more.

Number of awards offered: Five Scholarships are offered / one Scholarship is offered

Tenure of award:  Scholarship is offered for years

Value: Total offer is of $225,000 per fellow.

Selection criteria:
Trudeau fellows are selected through a rigorous process comprised of the following stages:
-Evaluation of all nominations files by an internal committee
-Selection of finalists by an external committee
-Approval of the finalists by the Application and Nomination Review Committee
-Final approval by the Foundation’s Board of Directors
