2013/14 The Weidenfeld-Roland Berger Scholarships Scheme at University of Oxford in UK

Fully Funded Postgraduate Scholarships for Students of Central and Eastern Europe, the Balkans, the Caucasus, Russia, and Central Asia, North Africa and the Middle East at University of Oxford in UK 2013/14

Eligibility:-Candidates should be applying to start a new graduate course at Oxford.
-They should also in normal circumstances be intending to return to their countries or regions of origin once their courses are completed.
-This scholarship is open to candidates studying for all graduate degree courses, with the exception of PGCert and PGDip courses.

Scholarship Open for International Students:  The students of Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Estonia, FYR Macedonia, Georgia, Hungary, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lebanon, Libya, Lithuania, Mongolia, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, Oman, Palestinian Authority, Poland, Qatar, Romania, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Syrian Arab Republic, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Western Sahara, Yemen can apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship Description: The Weidenfeld-Roland Berger Scholarships Scheme supports five postgraduate students per annum with the objective of promoting human rights and human dignity across a range of fields. It is envisioned that recipients will contribute more effectively in their professional lives to advancing these objectives in their countries and regions of origin.

Number of awards offered: 5 Scholarships are offered.

Value: 100% of university and college fees, and a grant for living costs (the rate in 2012-13 was £13,590).

Selection criteria:1.A strong interest in human rights and human dignity, which they can demonstrate either through their academic work, their extra-curricular activities or their planned professional careers; 2.An interest in exploring social and economic models which would support the promotion of human rights and human dignity.
