-Master in Social Sciences or other related field
-Experienced in research, particularly on Migration and Asylum
-Knowledge of international and national legislation on Migration and Asylum
-Ability to establish contacts with external stakeholders and project partners
-Ability to work independently and within a interdisciplinary team
-Knowledge in Document Analysis and Reporting
-Experienced in the use of common computer software (Microsoft Office)
-Good communication and drafting skills

Scholarship Description: The overall objective of the European Migration Network (EMN) is to improve the availability of, and access to, information concerning migration and asylum at European and Member State level in order to support policy and decision â€" making processes in the European Union. This involves providing the European Community, its Member States and, as a longer term objective, the wider public with objective, reliable and comparable information on the migration and asylum situation. The European Commission is responsible for the development of the EMN which consists of National Contact Points (EMN-NCPs) that have been designated by the Member States. Each Member State NCP is asked to establish a national network, involving all relevant stakeholders in order to give a comprehensive view of the situation within their Member State on particular migration or asylum topics.
