Eligibility:

-Human factors techniques (task analysis methods, user requirements elicitation, interface design, and/or prototype testing) Statistics Excellent written communication skills Excellent oral communication skills

-Experience working as Human Factors specialist
-Research in human factors at PhD level Experience in applying a range of human factors techniques Familiarity with healthcare as a domain for research

Scholarship Open for International Students: International applications will be considered for this position.

Scholarship Description: The Research Fellow will design in detail, manage and conduct the research required by Work Package 2 of the TRANSFoRm project. The objective of this Work Package is to develop a prototype of a decision support system (DSS) for primary care. The postholder will: 1) contribute to the design of the DSS prototype, and 2) evaluate the effectiveness of the final prototype in a controlled experimental study.This post is suitable for a researcher with a postgraduate qualification in human factors and further research/work experience in human factors. A Masters in Human Factors alone (i.e. without a PhD or further work experience in human factors) is not suitable for this post. Applicants should have a successful track record in employing robust methods to solve important, real-life problems. They should have had experience in formal task analysis methods, user requirements elicitation, interface design, and/or prototype testing. The post holder will work most of the time independently to fulfil the project objectives.

Value:The appointment will be made, dependent on relevant qualifications and experience, within the Grade 7 scale, currently £40,463 to £47,809, per annum, inclusive of £2,323 London Allowance, per annum.
