2013 Science, Mathematics and Engineering Scholarships at University of St.Thomas, USA

The University of St. Thomas offers  Scholarships for Undergraduate Students in the field of Sciences, Mathematics or Engineering, USA 2013 

Study Subject(s):Scholarship recipients must major in one of the following undergraduate academic areas at St. Thomas: actuarial science, biochemistry, biology, chemistry, computer information sciences, engineering, environmental science, geology, mathematics, neuroscience, physics, or statistics
Course Level:Eligible level is undergraduate

Eligibility:
-Applicants must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents or eligible noncitizens.
-Applicants must be high school seniors during the 2012-2013 school year
-Applicants must submit (by Nov. 30, 2012) a complete application for undergraduate admission to St. Thomas.
-Applicants must have a composite ACT > 28 or an SAT score > 1260.

Scholarship Open for International Students: This scholarship is not open for International Students

Scholarship Description: The Science Scholar is an ambassador for the science, mathematics, and engineering programs at the University of St. Thomas. Our Science Scholars represent the science, mathematics, and engineering programs at various functions, during their studies at the university, and by their leadership. Consequently we are looking for well-rounded, high-achieving candidates with a love and contagious excitement for Science, Mathematics and Engineering.

Number of awards offered: 2 full tution fee and 2 Scholarships will be awarded

Value:  The University of St. Thomas cover  two full-tuition and two $8,000 Scholarships.

Notification: Selected applicants and their parents will be invited to St. Thomas on Scholarship Day, Saturday, Jan. 26,2013, for an open house in the Frey Science and Engineering Center, to meet faculty and staff and to take tests in mathematics and the natural sciences.

How to Apply: Applicants must submit a scholarship application, an essay, and a written evaluation from a teacher.  In addition, all scholarship applicants must submit a complete application for undergraduate admission to the university. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
