Scholarships for Paraguay Students

Paraguay is a landlocked country in South America. Education in these universities is equivalent to international standards. International students come to Paraguay to seek admission into various universities and institutions of the country. The medium of instruction in most of the colleges and universities is English, however in a few cases, Italian and Spanish are also offered.

Universities in Paraguay impart education at the highest level. There are some prominent Paraguayan universities, where diverse subjects are taught to the students. Brief Scholarship Description: The Embassy of the United States of America in Paraguay’s Public Diplomacy (PD) section is pleased to announce an open competition for assistance awards through this Request for Proposals (RFP). PD invites not-for profit/non-governmental organizations in Paraguay to submit proposals for teaching English as a second or foreign language to a group of up to 25 disadvantaged undergraduate students in the areas of Asuncion and San Lorenzo, Paraguay. The ESL/EFL teaching program should be 2 to 3 years in length with at least 4 hours of instruction per week with an emphasis on conversational ability and incorporate U.S. values and culture into the curriculum. Classroom sizes should be between 20-25 students.

Scholarship Program: New Zealand Scholarships â€" Latin America and the Caribbean

Level of study: Postgraduate Diploma, Masters or Doctorate
Brief Scholarship Description: The scholarships are offered for full-time, postgraduate study at the Postgraduate Diploma, Masters or Doctorate (PhD) levels. Study at PhD level will only be considered where particularly strong development relevance is demonstrated. New Zealand will offer scholarships with as equitable a spread as possible across all eligible countries, for study beginning in the 2013 academic year. Brief Scholarship Description: The “Coimbra Group Scholarship Programme for Young Professors and Researchers from Latin American Universities” was launched for the first time in January 2004. The Coimbra Group is an association of 40 European universities, which promotes exchanges between European and Latin American researchers and academics. This call for applications for research visit grants is one of the ways in which exchanges are supported.

Brief Scholarship Description: This scheme strengthens scientific research capacity in low- and middle-income countries, by providing support for junior researchers to gain research experience and high-quality research training at Masters degree level.
