Eligibility:
-Doctoral degree in history of modern and contemporary migration
-Experience in archival research
-Experience in designing and maintenance of Data Information Systems or graduate title in humanities computing
-Fluent knowledge of Greek. Fluent knowledge of either English or French and good knowledge of the other language.

Scholarship Description: The Research Committee of the University of Peloponnese invites applications for two Post-doctoral Research Associate positions for the implementation of the Research Project 2686, No 9019-7/9/2011 entitled “Migration Management and International Organizations: A history of the establishment of the International Organization for Migration”, undertaken in the framework of the Action ARISTEIA of the Operational Programme “Education and Lifelong Learning”, which is co-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and by the Greek State.The post holder will participate in: archival research and the collection of data in archives in Greece, Switzerland, USA and Australia; data itemisation, compilation, evaluation and analysis using historical science’s conceptual and methodological tools; the designing and maintenance of the project’s information system and website; the organisation of workshops and a conference. The Postdoctoral fellow will also participate in the preparation of the project’s reports, present papers on specific themes and write chapters of the collective volume to be published.

Duration: 36 months and 20 months

Total Budget: 88.560 € and 49.200 €
