Kyrgyzstan is a member of the Commonwealth of Independent States located in Central Asia. Academies, universities, institutes, higher colleges, etc. summed up as higher education. Presently two forms of high education are flourishing in Kyrgyzstan i.e traditional permanent and multilevel system .The country has started focusing on adult learning more.The motto behind this is to make adult population adaptable new social economic environment. Â U.S. Agency for International Development selected American Councils for International Education to manage many aspects of central Asia education foundation initiative.It is for both Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan) and the US. Each year various students emigrate from Kyrgyzstan to foreign countries for the up gradation of their higher education. Various scholarships are offered to encourage and support academic growth and development of students in Central Asia.

Scholarship Program: The Charles Braver Language Exploration Grant at Russia, Kyrgyzstan, or Ukraine

Brief Scholarship Description: The Language Exploration Grant offers one award of $500 each for summer, fall, and spring sessions on any regular SRAS program.The Charles Braver Language Exploration Grant is intended to offset the costs of SRAS study abroad programs for students who demonstrate clear goals in gaining an understanding of Russia or Central Asia, the people who live there and the languages they speak. Grants may be used to study Russian, Kyrgyz, and/or Mandarin Chinese.

Brief Scholarship Description: AUCA is committed to providing financial assistance to talented and hard-working students who demonstrate excellent academic performance and financial need. Approximately 92% of undergraduates, about 1000 students, benefit from a merit- and need-based financial aid program, which provides up to 90% of tuition costs in the form of scholarship. The average financial aid is KGS 135,000 per student. Financial aid is available to both incoming and continuing AUCA students from the Kyrgyz Republic as well as from the C.I.S. and beyond.

Brief Scholarship Description: The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program in Eurasia and Central Asia (formerly the Eurasian Undergraduate Exchange Program), a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the United States Department of State, provides opportunities for first-, second-, third- and fourth-year five-years study programs undergraduate students from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan for one year of full-time, non-degree study in the United States. First-year students will attend two-year community colleges and live in campus housing (dormitories) or with American host families.
