Studentships are open to UK/EU students who want to study PhD programme. The studentships are funded by University of Exeter and 100 studentships are awarded during winter 2012/13. The studentships are awarded on the basis of academic performance and are designed to cover all tuition fees and a maintenance grant for a period of 3 years.

Eligibility:
Normally students will have a good UK Honours degree (2:1 Honours or international equivalent) and in some cases a Masters degree. If you are seeking funding through one of the Research Councils (UK/EU students only), you will need to hold a minimum 2:1 Honours degree, although often these awards are won by those with 1st Class Honours due to high levels of competition.

Ranked 7th in The Sunday Times University Guide 2013 and University of the Year in the same publication, we are a Russell Group university with an excellent research reputation. In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, all our 31 subjects were assessed as including world-leading research and nearly 90 per cent of our research was rated as being internationally recognised.

Selection Criteria: In considering your application, we consider:
-Your achieved academic performance in level 6, 7 and 8 qualifications (Bachelor, Master and Doctoral degrees and their equivalents)
-Your performance to date in undertaking a current qualification
-Your personal statement
-Your reference
-Any additional statement supplied by your academic institution or employer regarding any special personal or extenuating circumstances which may impact, or have impacted on your studies.
