2013 PhD Travel Grants for Australian Universities Students in the field of Life Science at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory in EMBL’s Centers

Eligibility:
-Be currently enrolled in a HDR program at an Australian University.
- Have not yet submitted your thesis for examination.
- Have completed your confirmation of candidature, but do not exceed the maximum duration of candidature.

Scholarship Description: Life science students enrolled at Australian Universities can now undertake training at the prestigious European Molecular Biology Laboratory with the support of the EMBL Australia Travel Grant Program. Ten places are available to  Australian PhD students to visit one or more of EMBL’s five European facilities: Heidelberg and Hamburg in Germany; Grenoble in France; Hinxton in Cambridgeshire, England; or Montorotondo near Rome, Italy.

Tenure of award: It is applicable for 6 week and 6 Months.

Value: Total offer is of $3,500 for a short term visit of up to 6 weeks, $7,500 for a long term trip, up to 6 months.

Selection criteria: Applications will be reviewed and ranked solely on the basis of qualification and scientific potential by the EMBL Australia Travel Grant selection committee.
