School of Engineering and Digital Arts offers Research Council Scholarships for Postgraduate and PhD Students from UK and EU in the field of  Arts and Humanities at University of Kent in UKÂ

Course Level: This scholarship is available for pursuing postgraduate and PhD degree level.

Eligibility: -Have received an offer of a place to study at the University of Kent.
-Have achieved a first class undergraduate degree.
-Prepare a statement of research interests and ambitions. These should be discussed with the Director of Graduate Studies.
-Provide a piece of written work of between 1,500 â" 2,500 words.
-Supply two academic references. These should be as specific and as detailed as possible so candidates should ask their referees to provide as much information about their academic achievements at BA level which includes details of their relative position within their cohort and details of their performance on individual courses/modules.
Scholarship Open for International Students:Â The students of UK and EU can apply for this scholarship.
Scholarship Description: The Arts and Humanities Research Council supports research in the arts and humanities and has funds for taught Masterâs degrees and for PhD research programmes. University of Kent applications for AHRC funding are via the AHRCâs Block Grant Partnership (BGP) competition whereby universities are allocated a specific number of awards for certain subjects. It is anticipated that the School of Engineering and Digital Arts will be allocated the following BGP in the 2013-14 academic year: One Professional Preparation Masters.
What does it cover? University of Kent applications for AHRC funding are via the AHRCâs Block Grant Partnership (BGP) competition whereby universities are allocated a specific number of awards for certain subjects.
How to Apply: Candidates who wish to be considered for AHRC awards must approach the School of Engineering and Digital Arts and their prospective supervisor in the first instance. To be eligible to apply for the AHRC award, candidates must also have made an application to the University of Kent and have been offered a place of study by the deadline of Thursday 31 January 2013. Applications to the University can be made online.
