University of Aberdeen is offering awards for international research postgraduate students in philosophy of physics, philosophy of biology (including neuroscience), general philosophy of science, philosophy of medicine and related areas. Two Awards are offered for uptake in 2013 and two other for uptake in 2014. Each award consists of a full fee waiver of three years of full-time PhD study. It is offered at the Home/EU or overseas student rate as appropriate. An annual maintenance stipend of £3,600 in each of three years of full-time study is also provided.

The philosophy of science is an area of particular strength at the University of Aberdeen, which also hosts the Centre for History and Philosophy of Science, Technology and Medicine (CHPSTM).

How to Apply: There are 2 simple options for applying for postgraduate study at the University of Aberdeen. (1)Apply online : Please note that completion of this form requires some technical pre-requisites. (2) Download the Postgraduate Application Form and return it to the Postgraduate Admissions Office.
Scholarship Application Deadline: Applications should be submitted till 8th of March 2013.
