Scholarship Description: The British Government’s Chevening scholarship program started in 1983 with the aim of becoming a prestigious program attracting those with the greatest potential to be future leaders. The British Embassy in Manila and the Cambridge Overseas Trust are working together to offer the Chevening Cambridge Scholarship for the Philippines, Palau, Micronesia and the Marshall Islands, tenable only at the University of Cambridge but forming part of the wide span of Chevening scholarships worldwide.
Number of awards :Up to two Scholarships may be awarded in 2013-14.
Tenure of awards: Not Known
Value :Each scholarship will cover the tuition fee and approved College fee in Cambridge, and a stipend for the duration of the course that is sufficient for a single person.  Each scholarship offer will clearly state the terms.If the course applied for is either the MBA or MFin, for which significantly higher fees are charged, only part of the tuition fee will be paid by the scholarship, and the recipient will need to find the balance of the fee from their own resources. Again, each scholarship offer will clearly state the fee that will be covered by the scholarship.
Other Benefits:The scholarship may also include other expenses such as return travel to/from the UK.
Selection Criteria:Scholarships will be awarded to candidates who have been successful at interview, and who have been offered admission to the University of Cambridge.
Notification :Successful candidates will be notified between March â€" May 2013
How to Apply:
Two applications are required:
1. Apply for admission to the University of Cambridge - full details can be found on the University’s website. The deadline for applications is 4 December 2012.
2. Apply for the Chevening Cambridge Scholarship for the Philippines, Palau, Micronesia and the Marshall Islands - the application should be made via the online Chevening application, and the deadline is 12 December 2012.
Only candidates who are successful in both applications may be considered for a Chevening Cambridge Scholarship for the Philippines, Palau, Micronesia and the Marshall Islands.
Scholarship Application Deadline: Deadline is 12 December 2012.
