2013 Korea Chevening Cambridge Scholarship at University of Cambridge in UK

The British Embassy in Seoul and the Cambridge Overseas Trust offers Korea Chevening Cambridge Scholarships for Master’s Students from Korea at University of Cambridge in UK

Study Subject(s): The Scholarship is provided to learn any of the course offered by the university.
Course Level: Any Masters or one-year taught postgraduate course at the University of Cambridge will be eligible, but priority will be given to courses in the following fields: Human Rights, Conflict Prevention / Development Studies,Governance / Public Administration
Scholarship Provider: The British Embassy in Seoul and the Cambridge Overseas Trust.
Scholarship can be taken at: Students will get their studies in UK.

Eligibility: Any Masters or one-year taught postgraduate course at the University of Cambridge will be eligible, but priority will be given to courses in the following fields:
-Human Rights
-Conflict Prevention / Development Studies
-Governance / Public Administration
Applicants are encouraged to research thoroughly the course(s) in which they are interested.  Full information on courses can be found via the links from the University website.

Scholarship Open for International Students: The students of Korea can apply.

Scholarship Description: Over 800 Koreans have been supported by the Chevening scheme, which attracts some of the best and brightest people from around the world.  On their return to Korea the alumni benefit from membership of the Korean Association of Chevening Alumni, which provides returners with a valuable network of contacts.

Number of awards offered: Two Scholarships are offered.

Tenure of award: It is applicable for 1 year.

Value: Each scholarship will cover the tuition fee and approved College fee in Cambridge, and a stipend for the duration of the course that is sufficient for a single person.

Other Benefits: Additional aid is return travel to/from the UK.

Selection Criteria:
- The British Embassy in Seoul will invite shortlisted candidates to interview in February/March 2013.
-Scholarships will be awarded to candidates who have been successful at interview, and who have been offered admission to the University of Cambridge.
