Eligibility:
- All applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of a regular ESC Member Country or ESC Affiliated National Societies. If you wonder whether you are a citizen or permanent resident

-Have completed parts of their cardiology training but before obtaining a âpermanentâ, âsenior staffâ or âconsultantâ post
- Â Are preferably less than 40 years of age at the day of the application deadline

Scholarship Open for International Students: Â This Scholarship is open for ESC Member Country or ESC Affiliated Cardiac Societies.
Scholarship Description: This training fellowship aims at promoting the development of academic medicine in the field of arrhythmias and cardiac pacing with emphasis on ICD/CRT and is designed for physicians with more extensive experience in the fields of cardiology and electrophysiology. The fellows shall gain advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in the fields of: pacemaker and ICD including bi-ventricular pacing in heart failure patients, leads and devices extractions and other challenging cases.The goal of this award is to help young candidates attain clinical competence and acquire high quality experience in electro physiology practice which will enable them to contribute to improving academic standards on return to their own country.

Tenure of awards:1 Year Training Fellowship Programmes will be offered for 2013.
Value:Fellows will receive a sum of ⬠25,000.00 per annum for their living expenses.The amount will be paid in two times, i.e. ⬠12,500.00 at the beginning and ⬠12,500.00 after 6 months.

Selection Criteria:Preference will be given to centres that already have an active fellowship programme and perform a minimum number of pacemaker and ICD implantations each year.
